My Story
Cancer really does suck! I got married to the love of my life on 11th May 2019. After our amazing honeymoon we discovered we were pregnant. Shortly after came the news that Emma's father had been diagnosed with Leukaemia. We then had a miscarriage, followed a few weeks later by a trip to the hospital to check out a breast lump that emma had found. The next 3 weeks was a whirlwind of tests, results and milestones before she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I stood by Emmas side as she went through a brutal twenty four rounds of chemo. In amongst this, there has been a global pandemic, a national lockdown and the passing of her beloved father in March 2020, who sadly lost his valiant fight with leukaemia. I think it's fair to say that we have had better years, but I have been inspired each and every day by the strength, determination and sheer amazingness of my warrior wife. She has managed to smile and laugh through the most terrible of times and always sees the positives in life. After two delays because of Covid - I am finally doing the marathon on Sunday 3 April 2022! I will be running for all those touched by cancer but particularly my amazing father in law and beautiful wife. So many wonderful people have already donated so generously, which is truly amazing! But....there is still more to be done! Please share and spread the word, to help fight cancer! Because cancer truly does suck!
