My Story

I'm going to do the January "Dryathlon" in 2017 for Cancer Research UK. I'll be "aff it" from January 3rd to February 3rd (cos I'm Scottish and naturally need to binge drink over the New Year) and I'm charity-mugging you lot for the price of a pint for the privilege of witnessing me at my most quiet, boring and subdued. I'll be honest - I don't think I've done a month off the beers since I was 15........... Anyway - it's a good cause, it'll keep ma fat ass out the pub and if I do it, and you donate, it means you don't need to suffer the misery I will

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
