My Story

My whole world changed on the 19th June 2017 when the most important man in my life took his last breath, My Dad. On April the 19th whilst having a break with us he took poorly and I suspected a stroke, took him to A&E and he had a scan to see if he had, this revealed secondary brain cancer, his primary tumour was in his lung. He seemed to pick up whilst awaiting more tests and with the right medication then he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and epilepsy. From here he took a downward spiral and on the 18th of June was rushed to intensive care, he was given a sedative at 16.20 and he never came round from it, he took his last breath with all his children and some grandchildren around him at 09.10 the following morning. Nothing in this world could have prepared our family for this, it was so sudden, I not only lost my wonderful Papa Bear, I lost my best friend. I would like to help raise funds in the hope of early diagnosis & better treatment for cancer patients. You may think this is not an important cause to you, probably 3 years ago I may have thought the same. We never know what is around the corner so PLEASE, even just £1 would be appreciated Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why We are fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to our page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
