We're running the New York Marathon to celebrate and are raising money to help others celebrate too.
We are lucky enough to be running the New York marathon this year to celebrate so many things, but first and foremost life in all its wonderful glory. Five years ago it was a very different story, but with every ounce of determination possible, we've got to today and are going to carry on doing as many amazing things as we can. The New York marathon has always been a dream for me, I'm not a runner and I've no idea how it will feel to run 26 miles, but I can't wait to find out. For a girl who's been through the mill this is going to be interesting! We're raising money for cancer research as without it, I wouldn't be here today.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
