My Story

Hi! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I know it may seem silly to give someone money to do something which will benefit them, but I hope you can spare a tiny bit for a good cause. Maybe you have been meaning to give to charity for a while but not found the situation. Well, here it is! Though I don't work directly for Cancer Research UK, I am a PhD student studying cancer sciences at the University of Southampton. There are times when PhD life can get fairly stressful and it's nice to relax at the end of a hard day with a few beers or a glass of wine. Sometimes this can happen a little too often, so I'd like to go for a whole month dealing with everything alcohol free and why not raise money for CRUK at the same time! Even if it's a quid (not sure you can donate any lower) it would be much appreciated and I can promise you it is going to a great cause and some ground breaking research. I'm really going to miss Guinness...
