In recent years, we’ve both seen close family members and friends bravely fight but ultimately lose their battles with cancer; others are still fighting theirs. Thanks to research and clinical trials, better treatments are becoming available, but not everyone is lucky enough to get them. We want to raise money to help fund further research so that perhaps one day all cancers are cured. That’s why we’re taking part in the Cotswold Way Challenge in aid of Cancer Research. For those not in the know, the challenge is a two-day, 100km (approx. 62 miles in old money) trek across the rolling (and, we’re told, steep) Cotswold Hills from Bath to Cheltenham. We've got a target of £1,200 (£600 each) but we're hoping to raise much, much more. Please donate here to help us get there. Any support you give will help spur us on our way and through what will be a pretty tough two days. Thanks in advance, Alex and Mel

Developing better treatments
Clinical trials are vital for improving cancer treatments and making them available to patients. Cancer Research UK supports more than 250 clinical trials across the UK, and its ground-breaking research has saved the lives of many thousands of people in the UK and all over the world. A donation can help this vital work continue.
