Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. On Friday 28th August, Harry Boyd, Mathew Worden, Tom Richie and I will be playing and walking 72 holes of golf (almost 40km) in one day to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK. The actual challenge set by Cancer Research UK is usually completed over 2 days, however, we are turbocharging this challenge to make it a 1-day event! This essentially means, in order to complete the challenge in daylight, we will be starting from 6am and finishing just after 9pm. That could mean 15 hours without stopping!!! Why are we doing this? Almost everyone we know has suffered either directly or indirectly from cancer at some point in their lives and the delayed screening of patients during the COVID-19 outbreak has made this cause all the more important. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
