My Story
Terry and Julie’s story. Cancer is wicked! It’s a thief and steals our loved ones! My Terry has treated his cancer as a project as he’s a very practical and clever man! But we are 5 and a half years into his journey and he has given it his all to fight it. It has almost got the better of him several times since he was sent home in February to end his days, but he keeps pushing himself on. It’s very hard to watch my amazing Husband go through this. The ups and downs have really tested us both! Many times we’ve cried together but we still laugh too as much as we can! I cannot bear the thought that this awful disease is going to take him away from me soon and all our wonderful family. I’m getting on a bit and not the fittest person but I take part in Race For Life every year as I know Cancer research UK really are making a difference! So if I can just help in a small way it makes me feel better. We are doing this as a team. There are 7 of us. Please read their stories and if you can spare a small amount I would be truly grateful. cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
