My Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Giving Page. On 2nd October I am taking on a one-day 26 mile hilly hiking marathon challenge with my Surrey Sole sisters. Added to that we have committed to lots of gruelling practice treks! My friend Sam started us off on this challenge and she is marking 10 years since she was diagnosed and treated for an aggressive form of breast cancer, We are each also walking for other friends, colleagues and family who have been impacted by cancer and since I first wrote this I have lost the most lovely and gentle colleague to cancer. So I will be walking this for her and for friends who who are undergoing treatment. I will also have my dear dad with me in my heart - pushing me on from above. He gave me my love of walking and was was still out there walking right up until he passed away from cancer 6 years ago. We were so lucky cancer research gave him some lovely extra years and miles of walking :) Please support me to take big steps to beat cancer by donating to my Giving Page or just by wishing me luck and liking my posts :)
