My Story
Though our lives may seem to be on hold at the moment, there is one thing that hasn’t stopped and that’s cancer. We can't do our usual Race for life this year, but the cause remains as vital as ever. It's now 6 years since Steven was diagnosed with Oesophageal cancer and nearly 4 since he died. We miss him every day and will do for the rest of our lives. The pain never goes but we know he is looking down and hope he's proud of what we've achieved in his name. This year again people close to our family have died of this cruel disease. In September it will be our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. Its so hard to celebrate without Steve and we will miss him more than ever so to make him part of the celebration.... I've been doing Couch to 5k and am planning to jog 5k with Dave, Caroline and Glen in Newquay on the weekend 12-13th September. This is definitely a one off for me, next year I'll be back to walking it! We know that times are hard but every pound you give brings us closer to the day that Cancer is always curable.
