I’m going to do the Race for Life 5k this year with my daughter Amelia who is 10. One of Amelia’s good friends was diagnosed with Leukaemia last September and she has been and still is receiving treatment for it. She is such a brave little girl who is a real fighter, having gone back to school inbetween her chemotherapy treatment. I know the last 6 months must have been so hard on her and her family. Her mum and a group of her friends are doing the 5k and asked me to join them to raise money for a cause close to everyone’s heart and to do this for this special little girl to show her how much she is loved. This is a cause that is really close to my heart as my dad also died of lung cancer in 2013. It seems fitting as it’s his birthday today as I write this and I will be thinking of him too on the day of the run. Amelia and I would really appreciate any donations, no matter how small.
