My Story
After having numerous family members and close family friends being diagnosed with all different types of Cancer. Some to have been lucky enough to have received successful treatment and are currently in the process of recovering. Others unfortunately were not successful. Receiving chemotherapy did however extend the time they had left with us. It just makes you wonder, if there was just that tiny bit more of research that could have developed the treatment that was being received. Would they still be here today? Unfortunately the answer to that question will forever remain unknown. I cannot possibly describe the pain, stress and emotional drainage that is felt watching someone you love, go through something that scares the majority of us. Knowing that there is nothing that you or anyone can do to prevent. But what I can say is that I admire each and every one of them. For the individual fights that they put up, the level of positivity they had and the high spirits they kept up. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound donated makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, one day we will beat Cancer for good!
