My Story
We are running Reading half marathon to raise money for Cancer research. Toni’s message: Cancer sadly affects so many people. For those of you who I am close to, you will know how hard this year has been. I am not ready to share the whole story right now but I will share parts of it… After some heartache and two surgical procedures earlier in the year (which were traumatic and didn’t go smoothly) I then got referred to a specialist center in London for monitoring of cancerous cells within my body. Regular fortnightly tests, a lot of worry, stress and tears followed. After a while I was so grateful and thankful that I could be signed off with no further treatment. However I know lots of other peoples stories won’t stop there. I was so grateful for the specialist clinic who were so thorough and that cancer research and monitoring can happen so effectively. Please donate to a really important cause if you can. Thanks to Tam, Kyle and Pete who are running the Reading half marathon with me to raise money for cancer research too.
