My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we're fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to our page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Working for Cancer Research UK and being able to interact with our supporters is a great privilege. As part of our SU2C campaign my team and I are doing our bit to fight back. On Friday 26th October I will be gate-crashing 10 Karaoke venues across Glasgow. I will perform a 'SWING' song at each venue supported by a team of CRUK colleagues and supporters. We will be aiming to raise as much money as possible on the night to support our ambition of bringing forward the day we beat cancer. Cancer has unfortunately been all to prominent in my life over the past 18 months. My father, aunt, cousins and friends have all been effected. In addition, one of our own team is continuing her fight against cancer. Heather Duff is a local fundraising manager for CRUK and the face of SU2C in Scotland. She was diagnosed with brain cancer in the summer and will have a second operation this December. This follows her previous fight against cervical cancer. Heather is one of the most positive, passionate and determined people I now have the pleasure of calling a friend. She is an inspiration to me. As my time working for CRUK comes to an end I can honestly say Heather has left a lasting impression on my life. For Heather, for my family and for everyone effected by cancer please support us by making a donation. Every penny received is greatly appreciated and will go towards lifesaving research. Join us, the CRUK volunteer fundraising team in Scotland, and take a 'SWING' at cancer!
