My Story
Though our lives may seem to be on hold at the moment, there is one thing that hasn’t stopped and that’s cancer. Our beautiful Mum has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, this has been a massive shock to all of us, but she is an extremely strong, amazing woman and I know she will beat cancers ass! It has luckily been found quite early, which is a positive! And this time next year I know she will be able to say she is a cancer survivor <3 So myself, my sister Grace, our brother Oscar and our youngest sister Kate will be completing a slightly longer race for life at home as the annual race for life has been cancelled due to covid19... We shall be running on Saturday 25th July at 6pm, the run will take place at Bancroft park (place of the roman ruins). Bancroft has an area of 8.6km, which I just over 5 miles! We will not only be doing this for our mum but also for the many other wonderful people currently having to deal with cancer, those who have beat cancer and for those who have lost their lives because of cancer. Sticking to social distancing rules anyone that would like to join in with the race are more than welcome! And of course anyone is welcome to just come and watch the run! To make sure people get the support they need during these unprecedented times, we will be taking part in the Race for Life at Home. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please donate to our Giving Page today! If you’d like to join the Race for Life at Home community, then sign up at raceforlife.org/athome We might be apart, but we’re doing this together!!
