Cancer is happening right now, which is why my daughter and I are taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. All of us have been touched by cancer in some way, whether we’ve been directly affected or had to watch a friend or loved one go through it and 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I’m not a runner (in the true sense of the word) and you won’t ever find me entering any marathons but I have done the Couch to 5K programme and having walked a previous Race For Life, I’m determined to keep the momentum going and run more of the course than I walk!
