In memory of my wonderful Mum who died from breast cancer on 27th December 2013.
In memory of
Wendy Mckenzie
On the day of the race it will be nearly three and a half years since I lost my wonderful Mum to secondary breast cancer which spread to her bones. For the first few years after her death I didn't feel able to join in the Race for Life as it was too painful a reminder of her loss. This year however, joined by my wonderful Mother in Law and daughter, I am feeling up to the challenge! If we can raise even a small amount to help fund research to find new drugs which may extend the lives of other sufferers so they can have more time with their families or even find drugs to help cure some cancers, then we will have done our bit. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
