Raising awareness of stomach cancer and keeping the memory of Shane Pitman alive ?
In memory of
Shane Pitman
25th Dec 1990 - 19th Dec 2017
On 19th December 2017 we lost an amazing friend, father, fiancé, brother and son. Shane was a truly fantastic and insperational person and couldn't do enough for anyone. Unfortunately at the young age of 26 Shane was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer and after a short battle lost his life. I believe that there isnt enough awareness and media coveragr of Stomach Cancer, especially in younger people. Through participating in Pretty Muddy I hope to raise money for Cancer Research UK and raise awareness of the symptoms of Stomach cancer, whilst keeping Shane's memory alive. Any donation small or large is greatly appreciated, but more than that sharing the following symptoms to save even just one life and stop family and friends going through what we are would be amazing! Possible Signs of Stomach Cancer: - Poor appetite - Weight loss - Abdominal pain - Vague discomfort in the abdomen - A sense of fullness after eating a small meal - Heartburn or indigestion - Nausea - Vomiting - Swelling or fluid build-up in the abdomen - Blood in the stool
