Susy's Race for Life page -8 July!

Thank you for visiting my page and any donations would be most welcome and appreciated. I know a lot of people give to a lot of good causes but if you can spare anything I'd really appreciate it. My target is £68 which is the age my dad was, when he closed his eyes for the last time, after cancer invaded our family. The pain this caused still lives with us... My Mum showed amazing strength after that life changing day which made us very proud of her. Needless to say that my Mum, my wonderful Brother and I, all miss him each and every day. Thanks to Dave for me and Andrea for my brother supporting us we managed to keep going and worked together to support Mum. Dad's memory is still honoured in a very positive way, by us sharing the many wonderfully amusing stories, jokes and laughter he used to love having. If you can spare any money, large or small it would all be going to a very worthwhile cause. Cancer is happening right now to people I know. To a most inspiring friend - Paula, who has dealt with it all in such a positive way she really amazes me in her strength, guts and determination to not let it destroy her life. I wish her the best in beating it back from ruining her life. Cancer also happens to a lot of people I don't know, it wrecks lives for all concerned which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k. All money raised is used to help save lives in each and every way the money raised can! I'll be spending the time reflecting while walking round, about the courageous cancer suffers and the wonderful people who have passed that have their lives robbed and cut short. Such as an old college friend - an amazing lady called Helen who was Phil's soul mate and Diane's best friend (who had a heart of gold and a love of ice-cream!) 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
