My Story
Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. I am doing this especially for my awesome little sis, Jules and my friend Jacquie who are both living with cancer. Jules was diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer in February this year in between my birthday and hers. Only one year, one month, one week and one day separate us. We have been like twins all our lives. Though very different in many ways we are very close. I would do anything for her. A champion gymnast, great runner and keen yogi, she has followed a vegetarian diet most of her life. And a fantastic mum, business woman ! Jacquie and I have known each other since we were 4 years old. You don’t keep in touch with someone this long unless they are really special. We were both taught by my dad at primary school and survived so the big C should be easily scared away by all the positive vibes ( and unicorns and puppies) that are being sent nationwide at the moment! Don’t think “ Oh research will take years ... there’s no point in donating” Some of the treatments are so new that they would not have been available a couple of months ago. Obviously these two are close to my own heart. There are so many awesome people out there... people living with cancer, living with someone who is living with cancer, treating cancer and at those pushing the boundaries of medical research.
