Susan's Race for Life
Exeter 5k 2018
Sun 22 Jul 2018
The Race for Life is something that my daughters and I have always wanted to do since I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. Since then, cancer has appeared in all other different parts of my body, known as metastatic breast cancer (as it originated from the first bout), which has led to me being on crutches since 2014. Being on crutches obviously means I am unable to run. However, this year my daughters have decided it would be possible for us all to take part by pushing me around the course in my wheelchair!! It will be a lot more hard work for them but I have arms that could help a little - I'm just very happy that it means I can be a part of it. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
