For those of you who know me, you will know why finding a cure for cancer is so important to me, for those of you who don’t, this is my story. The photo above reminds me of happy times and amazing courage, it’s a picture of me on my hen do with my big sister, Adrienne. Six months after this photo was taken, AD lost her battle with breast cancer, just 2 weeks after her 40th birthday. Although she was a fighter to the end, I saw her go through gruelling treatments and pain for 3 years, something that nobody should have to go through. So although I’ll be running in memory of AD, i’ll be also running for those friends who are going through treatment right now, for those who have fought and already won the battle, and for my own children and their children in the hope that this catastrophic disease will one day be a thing of the past. I know AD will be with me the whole way, (probably laughing!), together we can fight cancer xx❤️
