My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m doing the Stand Up To Cancer Walkies Challenge to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. As most of you know, I lost my husband Pete to a brain tumour in 2023. He was 49 years old. Glioblastoma Multiform is a terminal, incurable disease and is one of the most challenging cancers to treat, with an average survival of 12 - 18 months. Donny Barko and I are raising money by signing up for the Stand Up To Cancer Walkies Challenge in his memory. Admittedly, Donny did not have a choice, and no doubt will try to hide under the sofa or complain during the walks, but together we will finish it.
