My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. My recent (and thankfully successfully treated) cancer diagnosis has helped me realise just how important research is and significantly, how effective the results are. Without the research results already to hand, I would be facing a far different outcome and I will be eternally grateful to the researchers and cancer teams who together meant that I was able to receive the treatment available to date. 1 in 7 women will have a cancer diagnosis in their lives and research into treatment is so important. For these reasons I have decided to front crawl and breaststroke my way to 10k in August to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. It has been over 15 years since I last used swimming as my form of exercise and as breast cancer treatment only ended last month, this is going to be interesting indeed! It is so important that these wonderful people have solutions they can use to protect each person who has a cancer diagnosis. If you have anything to spare, even a £1,00, please would you donate to Cancer Research. Your interest will keep me going! Thanks for your support. Sue xxx
