My Story
In 2013 I took part in a Race for Life event and managed to raise more than £600.00 with your help. At the time, I had recently lost my beloved daughter in a car accident, turning my whole world upside down. I also had three close friends who were battling with cancer, which collectively provided me with the motivation to take part in Race for Life. Whilst advances in the treatment and detection of cancer have helped numerous people overcome cancer, I have nonetheless lost a number of friends in recent years. There is still much more to do if we are to defeat all types of cancer once and for all. This year I want to raise funds again for this great cause in the memory of my daughter and the departed friends who are not here with us today. I would also like to raise funds in gratitude of the advances that have been made to-date, that have accounted for many of my friends and family surviving cancer.
