To raise funds to fight this terrible disease
In memory of
My dad George, my sister-in-law Alison, my friends - Jennifer, Bev, Alan, Paul and Verity
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. I lost my Dad to cancer back in 1986 - he was aged 76 which back then was considered quite a good age to live to. However, as a 25 year old at the time, it was a devastating loss. And I still miss him today. My sister is now also battling secondary breast cancer and the prognosis is not good. This terrible disease has also claimed the lives of my sister-in-law Alison and several friends, all of whom were young and could have lived for years but for the cancer. All of those friends fought their own courageous battles with their illness but sadly did not ultimately win, leaving families and friends bereft. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
