Sue's Race for Life

Suzy was a free spirit, she had a beautiful soul and had a serenity about her. A beautiful lady inside and out. I had the privilege of being Suzy J’s final Manager. It was only for 7 months but we clicked straight away. How she tackled her journey was inspirational. Her positive nature, she remained part of the team until the end. She joined in the Christmas fuddle, Luna loved it. She would bling up anything if there was space to do so. She loved her Garden, something we would chat about, along with other diverse topics. I will miss those chats. I will never look at the chocolate trifles called pots of joy without thinking of her. I took her some each time I visited as she loved them. I feel privileged to have known her, to have held her hand during her last few months of employment and take pride that once I was no longer her manager, I continued to keep up the contact as our bond and trust had grown. I will treasure the small quartz heart she gave me. It is safely tucked within a small angel wing tea light. When I showed her where it was going to be placed she loved being protected by the angels. I may not be able to see Suzy in person anymore but I know she surrounds me every time I see butterflies, robins, ladybirds or a slight breeze across my face whilst in the garden. She now is a free spirit flying high watching over us all. Personally I have also lost my Dad and Mother-in law to this evil disease, so even more motivation to do this event. It is the scourge of modern living. From small acorns does the mighty oak grow. It doesn’t matter how much you sponsor me for, please give what you can. Together we can do something really positive.
