I won’t be racing but I’ll do my best - Helen will approve as she wasn't a runner either!
In memory of
Our dear friend Helen Perigo
When we were pregnant with our first babies, a group of us from Ante-natal classes bonded, 17 years later we are still good friends. We have talked for years about watching our children blossom and never once contemplated that one of us wouldn’t be here for our 1st born’s 18th Birthday Devastatingly, Helen was diagnosed with lung cancer last June and sadly lost her battle with it in February this year, aged only 48, leaving a wonderful husband and 2 delightful children. We are taking part in the Race For Life, in her memory as she was a fabulous Mum, a true friend and an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Losing a close friend at a such a young age has made us realise how precious life is and we are shocked to hear that lung cancer is the biggest killer of woman in the UK and 44 women lose their lives to this awful disease every day. Im doing this with the rest of our Ante-natal group friends and know Helen is with us, we've had many special moments and adventures together over the years, precious memories we'll treasure forever xx
