My Story

We are Sandra’s Angels, I’m Claudia Sandra’s daughter, I’ve never really run and if I learnt anything from mum and what she went through is that you can do anything. She is my guiding light and biggest inspiration we love you mum. I’m Sue, this will be out of my comfort zone due to bad knees, old age and general preference for sitting down eating cake. I also don’t like dressing up, but I will do this because it’s for my best friend Sandra. I’m Beth, Sandra was always there when I was growing up like an extra Auntie. Her honest comments and guidance alongside an abundance of M & S food and a whole lot of love made up Sandra. We are running for our lovely Sandra, the best mum, wife, sister, friend and person in the world. We miss Sandra endlessly but we know she’d be finding this absolutely hilarious (she knows we are not runners). She would want us to raise as much money as possible in her memory. Sandra was a beautiful soul who remained the most positive bright being, mum always used to say ‘cancer is just coming along for the ride with us’ she never let anything bring her down. Sandra received so much care, love and support from so many incredible services, which is why we are running; to help other people and families to negotiate the journey of cancer. This is for you Sandra, we love you. We know times are hard at the moment but if you can spare anything we’d be eternally grateful. Claudia, Sue, Beth xx
