Cancer affects so many people, not just the person diagnosed, but also their family and friends. This year I am walking with my family to try to raise as much as we can to help fight this awful disease. We are walking in memory of Mick, a fabulous brother in law, uncle, friend, husband, father and grandfather. Last September Mick sadly lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer, although he fought it so bravely, not once did he lose his sense of humour (even at the most difficult times) and his love for his family was evident throughout. We will also be thinking of all the other people who have been affected by cancer throughout our walk and do it in their memory or their honour! Hopefully we will smash our target and help to raise lots of money for this amazing charity. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives.
