My Story
Those who know us will know that neither of us are that fit or agile lol so Race for Life Pretty Muddy is probably going to be a bit of a challenge, to say the least ! Haha!!But 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. We lost June, our dear Mum and Nanny in 2011, diagnosed with stomach cancer in August she passed away 2 months later. Arthur, our dear Dad / Grandad was diagnosed in July 2014 and passed away 4 weeks later from kidney and spine/ bone cancer. The most traumatic ,devastating time of all our lives. Mum and Dad bravely stood up to cancer, they were humbled by many they met in hospital, diagnosed with cancer, especially the children and adults much younger than themselves. Memories of June and Arthur, are, along with friends and others we know who are living with cancer now or are in remission, our motivation for us to don on our pink tutus and go for it !! If anyone would like to donate, that would be a bonus and you can do so through this page. It is simple, fast, secure and safe with Cancer Research UK.
