Stuart's Race for Life
Portsmouth 10k 2019
Sun 7 Jul 2019 - Sun 7 Jul 2019
Cancer is happening right now, which is why for the 1st time I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. In 2014 my mum had the news nobody wants to ever hear. She was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully treatment was swift and a success but I know not everyone is as lucky as my mum. My wonderful wife Angela has been running the Race for Life since 2015 raising money for this amazing charity, I am so proud this year to be able to “race” alongside her, my sister and also my Dad at the ripe old age of 72! Even my son Matthew (8) is taking part in the kids muddy 5km. If cancer has affected your family or friends I hope you can help us in anyway you can. Come down to Portsmouth and give us a cheer (or a bottle of rum), or better still help us all achieve £50 in donations. https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/team/we-thought-they-said-rum-34 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor us now.
