My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page. On the 26th September 2021 we, along with a few friends, will be running the Sheffield Half Marathon to try and raise money for Brain Cancer Research. We're doing this because on the 26th January 2021 we lost our Dad to a short battle with Brain Cancer. Our Dad loved running and was still regularly doing 5ks up until he became ill. It seems a fitting tribute to do this Half Marathon to honour him and to try and raise a bit of money for Brain Cancer Research. The pandemic has had such a huge impact on the funds charities have been able to raise and the charity runs taking place during this summer are some of the first big events these charities have been able to engage in to raise money. It’s great to be able to raise money for them, do something my Dad loved to do in his memory, and push ourselves physically too. Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Thank You, Dave, Jonny and Tom.

CAUSE
Brain cancers
Each year in the UK, more than 12,288 people are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. That’s 35 people every single day. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat brain cancer.
