My Story
Having been inspired to take up running by my brother in the first lockdown, which ended up in me running a half marathon one Saturday afternoon, I approached him with this challenge to push the boundaries of what we may be capable of. Here we both are, with a 53.6 mile run across the South Downs ahead of us on the 19 June. I am running for Cancer UK and he for Alzheimer’s. Both charities close to our own hearts. I have seen first hand the impact of a cancer diagnosis on a loved one, luckily my Mum was the strong woman we all know her to be and is still going strong years on! Some families are not so fortunate and if I can contribute in some way to allowing other families to be as lucky as we were/are then it will be added motivation to finish. Please donate generously and if I have to crawl across that finish line I will! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
