We’re excited to announce that in two weeks time STR will be taking part in Football Shirt Friday on 24th April in support of Cancer Research UK’s Bobby Moore Fund. All you need to do is wear your favourite football shirt and donate to help fund vital cancer research. It’s a great opportunity to show off your team colours while supporting an important cause! Bobby Moore Fund
Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore OBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research. Since the fund was set up , bowel cancer mortality rates have fallen by over 30%. However, with 48 people losing their life to the disease every day in the UK, we still have a long way to go.
