Stone King cycling to beat cancer challenge
Cycling Challenge
Sat 10 Jun 2023 - Sun 11 Jun 2023
A team of cyclists from law firm Stone King will cycle from Bath to London next month to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Thirteen riders will cover the 155 mile distance over two days.
The ride is the brainchild of Stone King Chair Alison Allen, who had treatment for breast cancer last year. We know that cancer affects one in two of us and I am extremely fortunate to benefit from the huge amount of research that has gone before me. I am cycling as, for many people today, cancer is not a death sentence because of the life-saving research funded by charities like CRUK and this ride is a positive demonstration of that. However, I am also acutely aware that I am one of the lucky ones and there are so many people who are not as fortunate; there will be many others within the family of Stone King and beyond who have been affected by cancer. Cancer Research UK is the world's leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, influence and information. It supports research into all aspects of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.
