In memory of
steven pritchard
28th Jun 1965 - 8th Feb 2016
My beautiful man and life partner Steven Pritchard was diagnosed with osoeghus cancer with mets in spine and liver, massive shock 3 days before Christmas nothing could have prepared us for that news I really dont know how we got through xmas and new year. We and our family and friends were totally devastated. Life as we knew it was a memory to us. Steve had been in so much pain with his back, we were thinking back strain, cyaticia as you do Steve was admitted to hospital on new years day for pain relief, he spent 3 weeks in hospital before being transferred to Clatterbridge for radiothetapy. On 26th January the dr came and told us they were sorry but nothing else can be done due to state of liver. Again another devastating blow. Alls steve wanted to do was come home he didnt want to know how long was left. I made a promise to steve he would not be in pain and I will be with his to the end. I organised with nurses OT all the equipment he would need for our home. It was all delievered and were ready. Steve wanted pictures so I snapped away. He was so happy. He left with a huge smile on his face from Clatterbridgeancer centre conway ward on 2nd February 2016. He was made up to be home. We had an excellent support network family friends, DN, carers from Aspire care. Steve was happy. We got to spend move quality time together laughing and loving eachother as normal.. Steve passed away without pain and in my arms at 9am 8th Feb 2016. Its all still raw for me his kids and both our families. I am doing race for life in my beautiful man's memories because he taught me to love again and made me feel brand new. I will love him all my life Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK.
