My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I have decided to take on a huge physical challenge and cycle 969 miles in 9 days from Lands End to John O Groats, starting on Saturday 9th September 2018. It's works out an average of 107 miles a day in the saddle with some rather large hills to climb too - Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor, Quantocks, Mendips - and that's just the 1st 2 days! I will be sleeping in a tent on a roll out mat - the 1st time I've done this for over 30 years! A challenge in itself!. I'm 50 this year, so call it a mid-life crisis! Although I am a keen cyclist, there will still be a lot of training involved, a massive commitment from myself and an understanding family while I spend many hours in the saddle.(plus my wedding anniversary is on the 12th September, which I will spend riding between Liverpool and Penrith!) Cancer is a horrible illness and, sadly, affects so many people - too many. Unfortunately, all of us who read this will no doubt know someone who has suffered from this dreadful illness. Please donate as much as you can to try and raise much needed funds so hopefully cancer will be gone for good. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Please donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
