My Story
I ran in the Race for Life for the last two years, managing to raise over £705 in aid of cancer research and in memory of my mother Patricia Partlow who we lost to ovarian cancer in 2005.When we lost our mother to cancer, we didn't even know she had it, we were all so shocked to learn later that it was cancer. She went into hospital with breathing difficulties, and it was discovered that the cause was an ovarian cyst, by the time they got her on the operating table it had burst, and she never woke up, we later discovered this was caused by ovarian cancer. My mother died, never knowing what was wrong with her or even having a chance to fight it.This ripped the heart out of our family, and it took all of us many years to recover. So I'm running in the Race for Life again this year to raise both money and awareness of cancer and that it can get you in many ways.So please donate to help people who are going through the same thing that we did, my mother never got a chance to fight, but they do, so please help them have a chance to do that.
