My Story
Thank you for visiting my Marathon Month Challenge page. I will be running 26.2 miles in a month for Cancer Research UK, because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. I have always enjoyed running but having been struck down with Covid-19 and become seriously ill I thought I may never run again but slowly in very short sessions it helped me mentally and physically regain my fitness. Race For Life has always been an important event in the life of my daughters and through there encouragement I ran a sponsored 5k. Why not turn my quest for fitness into a fund raising endeavour - helping others while helping myself, so here I am doing just that. Encouraged by family and good friends I can now take on greater challenges - thank you all!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
