My Story
I am not doing this in memory of friends and family I have lost to Cancer. Let’s face it, the loved ones lost will not benefit from it! I will have to settle for fond reflections of great times and experiences we have had and the joy they brought into our lives. Over the last few years however I have witnessed some miracles, or what would have been considered miracles 20 years ago of family, friends and work colleagues beating the S**T out of Cancer. I have been lucky enough to be graced with amazing network of family, friends and work colleagues and you all have a place in my heart and mind. Whilst I live in hope that everyone, I know will live Cancer free forever, this is unfortunately unrealistic given the statistics. I take on the 300-mile challenge with the sole intention of helping to give the people I know and love a better chance in the future if Cancer comes your way. A chance to live on or have more quality time to continue to create memories that live with us forever. This can only be achieved by the great work charities like Cancer research UK undertake. Whilst the challenge is not substantial, I have 2 aging knees and a very troublesome back to contend with along the way, I will need some motivation to carry me through, hopefully this will come in the form of donations! 😊 Thanks for reading and please, if you can afford to donate even a little it would be greatly appreciated.
