My Story

Like so many other families, mine has lost beloved members to cancer and I have always wanted to make some kind of contribution in support of cancer research, no matter how small. Unfortunately, as someone who suffers from multiple chronic illnesses any kind of physical challenge or fundraiser has always been beyond my abilities. And I have found it so frustrating over the years. But you know what i can do? I can read! Reading has always been my coping strategy for dealing with the pain and limitations caused by my illnesses. So to now be able to use the books that bring me so much joy to also support this amazing charity is such a blessing. So I will be reading every day in November, and every day that I read I will remember those I've lost, I will think of the too many families currently facing with great courage the worst time of their lives, and I will hope that whatever small contribution I can make will help the people working so hard to find a cure. Thank you.
