My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. More than many, I am very grateful for all the years and months scientists and doctors have spent trying to understand and then find ways to help those with cancer. I will always be thankful that someone, one day, saw what was required to treat the cancer I had. I was very fortunate in that it was found early, was non-agressive and could be treated. Here I am 7 years later , healthy and able to run ..ok walk ...the Race for Life. I will be with a team from Godolphin, many of whom, like me, will have been the dancing the previous night away at the Leavers' Ball!
