9 merry men from Matlock have set out on the ultimate quest to help defeat our mortal enemy, the big C… Cancer, we may be unfit, we may even be overweight, but we most certainly are NOT afraid. Our mission: Tough Mudder. 10-12 miles of gruelling hills, knee high mud and 20 obstacles which would put even the fittest of athletes to the test. Sounds difficult enough right? Wrong… Just to make this even harder, we are all unfit and the majority of us are overweight. As I am writing this we have exactly 80 days to train ourselves both mentally and physically to embark on this mission to aid the fight against cancer. We figure that the best way to motivate us is obviously our cause. I think I can speak on behalf of all of us when I say that cancer has hit us all hard over the years and we feel that is time we made our stand. We want to raise as much as we can for cancer research and do our bit to defeat this evil disease. This is where we need your help… We figure that the more people who know about our noble quest, the more people we can get to donate money and ultimately help us to raise more money. We are all lads who grew up in Matlock (a few of us even play for Matlock rugby) and have great pride in the little town we call home, We are asking you just to help us promote our cause, our quest, our pride and our team by donating just a small amount.
