My Story
Anyone who knows me, knows I lost the most important person in my life on 9th Feb 2024, my Mum. When choosing to do this event I wanted to raise money for cancer research. My Mum was everything to me, my absolute hero in life. She has supported me over the years with my various charity ventures. She was a survivor to cervical cancer for almost 35 years when she was sadly diagnosed with Metastatic lung cancer which had already spread to her breastbone on 26th January 2024. After a short hard battle, we lost her. On my choice of cancer charity to support, there wasn’t one which represented my Mums fight, so I have chosen to raise funds toward Childhood Cancers. No-one deserves to be diagnosed with cancer far less a child. I would be extremely grateful for any donation, big or small. If you can’t donate, please share this for me and help me reach my target 💛
CAUSE
Children's & Young People's Cancers
Cancer in children and young people is different from cancer in adults, both in the types of cancer they develop and the effects of treatment. As a result, it needs a different and dedicated approach. With your support, our researchers can continue to drive progress and transform outcomes for the youngest cancer patients.
