Stacey's Walk 100 Miles Challenge Giving Page
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to walk 100 miles in October to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. On April 13th 2022 after having my routine smear and a colposcopy to get rid of what they thought was pre cancerous cells, I was given the shattering news that I had cervical cancer. No one can prepare you for those words and what your about to face. I had to make the decision to have a hysterectomy to get rid of it and also any of the other pre cancerous cells. Whilst I was in theatre a nerve in my leg was also damaged and I’m having to build the strength back up through fitness. My goal now is to raise awareness as much as possible for woman and how important it is to have your smear tests because having mine SAVED MY LIFE. My children still have their mum, my husband his wife and the rest of my family and friends. X
