My Story

Thank you for visiting my page! This March I will be walking 10,000 steps per day to raise money for cancer research! Cancer is a word we hear so many times and yet there still isn’t a cure for this awful disease... This year will mark 11 years since my dad passed away from lung cancer at the young age of 49. Because of cancer he didn’t see me move out and buy my first house...he never met his grandchildren and he didn’t get to walk me down the aisle...despite all the treatment and his strong character he passed away only 11 months after diagnosis... Please help me raise money for cancer research to help find a cure...too many people these days are affected by this dreadful disease. Every day in March I will walk 10,000 steps and I know he will walk beside me for everyone of those.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
