I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner.
Am doing this for my mum, last year we were told she had a tumour on her pancreas, she had 8 hour operation to remove this and also had a whipple operation, half of her stomach and her bile duct. She went through chemo for 6 months after the operation. In February this year, we where told she has now liver cancer, she’s undergoing strong chemotherapy to reduce this and keep it at bay, her strength and amazing personality is getting my family through it, no1 ever wants to hear about a family member getting cancer the dreaded “c” word, but my mum has been amazing through it all and is a inspiration to me. I will be doing it for her so she can be proud of me doing the 5k, if it wasn’t for her strength and positive attitude we can take whatever it throws at us.
