I'm taking on a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money to beat cancer sooner.
In memory of
Jan Merritt & Tracey Boe
As some of you may know, in the summer of 2014, I heard the news that my wonderful Nanny Jan had been diagnosed with bowel cancer, such a brave lady fought for two years but lost her battle with cancer in August 2016. Nanny Jan was such a huge part of my life growing up often going away with her and Grandad in their caravan. Just a year after losing my Nan, my mum Tracey was diagnosed with an unknown primary cancer in her liver, lungs, bones & breast. She battled gallantly over the next 10 months but come May 2018 she also lost her own brave battle with cancer. Seeing this awful disease breakdown two of the strongest women I know was heart breaking. I miss them both so much everyday. This is why I want to do something & raise money & awareness for this amazing cause, & hope that one day they will find a cure for this awful disease. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
