I’m taking on Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money to beat cancer sooner
In memory of
Grandad Rusty (Sim)
10th Apr 1938 - 17th Mar 2019
The race for life is something I’ve always wanted to complete but now even more so due to my Grandad’s terminal diagnosis last year. Thanks to the treatment my Grandad received we were able to spend more time with him so now we want to give something back. My Grandad fought a remarkable battle, he never moaned or groaned and always saw the positive side of life right until the end. He was extremely grateful for all the help he received and couldn’t thank everyone enough. Even though he was going through a hard time himself he always made sure everyone else was okay and nothing was ever too much trouble for him, his positive outlook on a negative situation was so inspiring. Myself and my family will be completing the race in loving memory of my Grandad who has now passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. Not only am I completing the race in memory of my Grandad but also for my Nan who has beat cancer twice. This awful disease has affected myself and my family directly and it’s also affected many people around me and it will continue to do so. We were unable to receive a cure this time but maybe in the future many others will thanks to the funds we’ve raised to help research efforts. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we’re taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me in hope of funding a cure. ‘Good night, God bless’ 💙 Any sponsors are greatly appreciated, thank you in advance, Sophie ❣️
